Stress and Anxiety are in a direct relationship with our hormonal health.
Understanding this relationship and how learning tools to support ourselves will positively effect every aspect of our phyiscal, mental and emotional well being as well as avoiding the negitive cycles which create more stress and impact our health.

I’ve called it ‘Stress and Anxiety’ workshop but I could have titled it ‘deep self care’ or ‘nervous system reset’ or ‘dropping into your parasympathetic’ or ‘learning to relax’ or ‘toning the Vagus Nerve’ or many other titles that are different versions of the same thing.
Most of us now our familiar with the term “flight of flight”. Its an essential part of our survival but we should only be in this mode very occasionally. When we’re in Fight and Flight (sympathetic nervous system ) all our resources are sent to the heart and muscles so we can deal with the danger.
Most of us in the West are in low level flight and flight most of the time.
We’re are meant to spend the vast majority of our time in ‘Rest and Digest’ (parasympathetic nervous system) where we then distribute our resources to all the essential functions in the body. These include everything from the digestive, hormone, immune systems to re building bones and our organs functioning.
Its clear to see that for true mental, emotional and physical health its super important to be in our Parasympathetic nervous system.
This work shop is all about using simple tools that by pass the rational part to our brain, and communicate with the deeper reptilian part of our brain through the Vagus Nerve.
These tools tell the brain that we’re safe, there is no danger and we can drop into our parasympathetic nervous system and start getting healthy, healing and happy.
This will be a two hour workshop, we’ll start with a women’s circle and then I’ll explain a little about our nervous system and hormones, how they’re effected and why they’re important, look at life style top tips, how adaptogens can help and then we’ll spend a lovely relaxing hour practicing my favourite 10 tools for dealing with stress and anxiety.
Some of these practices are from the yoga tradition, including breath work, some from Chinese Traditional Medicine and some from more recent science based research.
