Bliss Ball Recipe,
There are many bliss ball recipes online but this one is super simple and easy peasy and makes enough for snacks for a week in my house.
100g ground almonds
100g mushroom Brew. You can adjust this depending on your taste. If i'm making it for kids i'll do 70g Mushroom Brew and 30g cacao.
300g chopped dates
200g coconut oil.
First of all soak the dates in boiled water for 5 mins. Then measure out the oil into a container and put in the hot water with the dates. This makes both ingredients nice and soft and easy to mix.
Strain dates and mix all ingredients together.
At this point you can add any flavour that you fancy. ground ginger is one of my faves and orange, peppermint or lemon essence go really well too.
My final top tip if to make them into little bars because rolling them into little balls takes ages! just flatten them into long thin rectangles on a chopping board then pop in the fridge for about an hour. you can sprinkle with desiccated or cacao if you fancy.
When they're nice and firm you can cut them into kitkat finger size bars and store them in tupperware in the fridge.

I decided just to use one source for sharing the benefits of the ingredients I use in the Mushroom Brews to make it easier for you to find the relevant research.
Info on foods can often be unregulated and many claims can be made so I wanted to avoid any doubt about the amazing properties you’ll be having in your Brew.
www.medicalnewstoday.com will show all the research that backs up the benefits that I’ve written here.
All the ingredients have been used in traditional cultures for 100’s of years because of their health benefits and its important we value their knowledge too. Often times the Western approach or ’scientific research can be very reductionist and misleading.
Whenever possible I always buy organic ingredients which is at least 90% from a company that support and develop ethical trade and community based projects with the benefits of harvesting non-timber forest products going to the local producer.
Cacao
Used and cherished for up to 5,000 years the Cacao bean is seen as sacred in many South American cultures.
Treasured for its heart warming qualities there’s also plenty of research to show that it also boosts your brain and heart health, improves your gut, skin, reduces inflammation and enhances your mood.
It’s high in anti oxidants and minerals such as magnesium.
Chaga
Immune system, brain function, maintains healthy blood sugar levels and promotes liver, heart, and intestinal health.
Shiitake
Supports healthy weight & our cardiovascular health, fights cancer cells, improves energy levels and brain function. Reduces inflammation and supports the immune system.
Maitake
Boosts immunity, hormones, liver health, and increases stress resilience.
Lion's mane
Important benefits for brain health, such as supporting our memory, cognition, and mental clarity.
Also immunity, nerve damage, anxiety and depression.
Cordyceps
Anti-fatigue, anti-aging and anti-cancer properties that could help improve energy levels, sex drive and even heart health.
May help to prevents many illnesses inc diabetes, oestoporosis & arthritis.
Tremella
Reduces inflammation, boosts the immune system, supports lung function, and helps maintain clear, glowing skin.
Reishi
Boosts the immune system, increases strength and stamina, lowers cholesterol, treats lower urinary tract symptoms
lowers stress and supports gut health.
The website I used for the other ingredients did not have enough evidence about Reishi Mushroom so instead try,

Really loving both the original and the Mighty Mushroom Brews. Really comforting drink that you can feel is giving your system a boost. Thank you, delicious x
Unexpectedly lovely! Very smooth, faintly spicy hot chocolate.
Tasty as a hot drink, or sprinkled on yogurt or porridge, love this mushroom brew!
I ordered this after trying it at a friend’s house. It’s refreshing and flavourful. A combination of cacao and mushroom with a peppery kick. Genuinely brilliant and a perfect alternative to coffee as it offers a natural lift.
